Hi devs just quick one (i wish)

There a a few endurance races and im terrible at controling mouse and pitting to swap driver , is it possible to bind the clicky t , to wheel button or keyboard command in new cotrol option? please if you can do this before race tommorow at moment in busy race having to first press n then move mouse to t then click , and keep car , postion and change driver is pretty darn tricky and i think just a simple button option would make things alot easier.

Yep even more disturbing at 4am with no headphones, not just for me.

Collision dection is ok, its better then it was, some tracks have bad problems still, South city in particular,if you get some lag near wall when your close and clip it with wheel area , it can put an end to your race,usually by some extreme stunt from just brushing the wall surface , faster the car the more risk seems to be the case.

Aslong as wheels/susp? dont get mixed into the collision equation, seems pretty good imo,could be better though (how? i dunno) most things that make it so difficult have been mentioned , samplingrate, cpu/pc numbercrunching power and network latency.

Recently having raced in ESL UK ERRC we had to adopt to the new patch , before this it was pretty much hands together and pray if you got close to oppenent and started to rub panels, it would usualy end up a mess after the patch though it did feel alot safer (if thats possible anyway )

Now, imo, you can really force your car past sometimes in the slower classes and not worry about "boing" tm.

It is a shame TBO4 class is not as popular as it was. as this is where LFS really excels as an experience for me.

Ive seen this happen alot with one of our team members , not so much now , if some asked if she was a girl , half our team would jump up shouting "im a layyydeeeeee" (little britain) ,would help dispell the initial disbelief that women can play games (usually with much more mature attitude) and stop some of the questions that follow.

I just hope this doesnt put you off racing LFS or just being part of the whole scene, i like to think that LFS is fresh change from most gaming communities, there is alot more respect and open mindedness then most found in here and online/racing.

just an example , im all for modding but at what cost. It works with FPS alright , but racing sim community just isnt big enough to support it in the same way i feel. Sure there is the dedication, skill and community , but i dont quite think the userbase is quite there yet to absorb the potential.

I Know S3 is a while off yet, with most modable engines comes one thing , a glut of comletely redundant useless mods creating a wealth of problems for the future lifespan of this "pure"! game imo.

Random Idea if game was totally open.
Only way i can see combating "death by mods" this maybe is for devs to charge for the toolkit, linked with account, and some sort of info/tag data with linking to racer who created.

Im more in favour of simple things for LFS modding:

Physics - Locked
Track/Editor - open
Car/Editor - Locked
Gui/Gamemodes - open

would be nice to rocket jump overtake though

Although i havent raced yet i do feel that the 3hr Races should continue as per norm.

I do agree that FZR and FXO in the current class are just to fast and faster this is addressed the better racing we all could have. Luckily FXO is my favourite car so although it bothers me that im driving the "noobmobile" i also am comfortable in knowledge that ive got fastest car in the class.

But i do miss silly RWD drivers trying to overtake this machine of elegance so if you are reading Mr Roberts please can you slow down my car a touch, nothing drastic just a reduction of power, (maybe just reset FXO hotlaps not entire data) im sure the community would appreciate this greatly if it were possible without having to reset hotlaps entirely, or alternatively just segregate the 2 offenders (FXO/FZR) from having ability to upload hotlaps , and maybe spend a a few weeks testing different balancing of the vehicles. i really not sure whats for best , maybe adjust class for TBO so its just TB and a new class O4 or all together (TBO4) and just tweak FZR.

nope , i think a good and helpful way of curbing behaviour is just to set the difficulty setting in accordance to experience.

ie

on < newbie > say 0 - 1000 miles < Learner > 1000-2500 miles
< Ok > 2500-5000 miles <fast > 5000-10,000 miles <Pro> 10,000+ miles

so say you have 5500 miles on your stats , you can join newbie,learner,ok and fast servers. and i think it would help keep certain levels of the learnng curve more accessable.

A learner server .. eg.. say 15 new guys are racing , takes one Pro class skill racer to join and help with sets, lines cars etc , i think it would benefit LFS in so many ways and reduce the amount of admin currnetly neeeded and help with the existing & expanding userbase.

sorry if this has been mentioned elsewhere, and i strongly disagree with masterban list thats just not neccersary and not good for anyone in long run.

I see this happening every other day now. Not so bad on team sever as most have been banned or kicked or will be if spotted.

What makes me laugh is the increase of idiots that like to force you off road , and then when you hold your line and they crash , its suddenly your fault some people dont like tasting their own medicene.

This ^^ so far happened to me maybe 3 or 4 times this morning already.

Its got to the point where only good races are in league or on a trusted team server or our own.

One side note it seems .. newbs are like Agent smith infecting the whole community, rather then replenishing which used to be the case.

If you have forgotten game password
log into the mainsite http://www.liveforspeed.net and send account details and then start LFS and unlock again , but be careful only 3 unlocks per month

I cant wait for the patch, it will give me a chance to get top of the TBO ranks again (esp RB4)

i spend about 10 min eating and 15 min sleeping , rest of the times is all LFS

Good idea dude , will help making some track/layout ideas workable.
